The iPhone blogs says they've uncovered the very first photos of a brand new version of the iPhone (the pictures are watermarked from a site called UMPC Fever), and while there's no actual indication that they're real (at the very least, it wouldn't be hard at all to make a picture and load it on the iPhone stream), they are worth a look, if only as ideas. The pictures hint at what's basically a dream roundup of new iPhone hardware: a camera with autofocus, a digital compass, and there are hints at a CPU log as well (which may be a developer function of some kind).
A few people note that there is a percentage near the battery, but that's actually a known function of 3.0, and it's been possible on jailbroken iPhones for a while as well.
To add to the mystery, commenter Dstreelm in the comments over there took a look at the metadata on one of the photos (the one supposedly taken by the iPhone), and it was taken near Hong Kong, just a day or so ago. It's definitely all rumors, so take it all with a grain of salt, but it does lend more credence to the idea that we'll be seeing a new version of the iPhone hardware very soon.
The author of the detailed Flickr gallery also writes:
Anything I didn’t snap a shot of was because it didn’t seem like anything had changed.
Some additional observations:
- Initial setup now warns you if you don’t choose a password hint.
- Time Machine menu bar icon is now grayed-out if Time Machine is not configured.
- Clean Up icons command in the Finder now “slides” icons into place instead of them just moving instantly. It’s a neat visual effect.
- There is no QuickTime preference pane, and no preferences within the application itself. I theorize that Apple is going to do away with QuickTime Pro entirely.
- Quick Look now works from Open and Save dialogs.
On the basis that the images will likely be removed at some point the highlights are reproduced below.
The day and date can now be added to the menu bar.
A system wide text replacement system is now in place.

QuickTime X now has built-in screen recording as well as basic video editing.

Un utente del forum di MacRumors ha dichiarato di aver visto il prototipo del prossimo modello di iPhone ed ha chiarito alcuni particolari relativi alle foto di questa mattina.
Innanzitutto ha spiegato che trattandosi di un prototipo, esteticamente è del tutto uguale all’attuale iPhone 3G ma ovviamente questo non esclude il fatto che il modello finale possa essere diverso.
Le immagini che vediamo in alto sono state scattate rispettivamente da un iPhone 3G e dal nuovo prototipo per cui possiamo notare la palese differenza dovuta all’introduzione dell’auto-focus.
Lo stesso utente ha inoltre spiegato che le persone impegnate nei test sul prototipo, possono rilasciare soltanto immagini “strane” e di bassa qualità, trattandosi di un dispositivo non ancora annunciato. Quindi non dovremo meravigliarci se in futuro dovessimo vedere altre immagini simili.
Infine si parla delle funzionalità relative al magnetometro. Appena clicchiamo sull’icona viene immediatamente mostrata la direzione del Nord e l’interno della bussola girerà. Sarà molto utile per chi viaggia, va in montagna oppure utilizza il GPS. Su MacPredictions.com ho trovato un mockup decisamente più chiaro e limpido della schermata principale dell’applicazione:
Ancora non sappiamo quanta verità possa esserci in queste parole, ma come sempre continueremo a tenervi aggiornati sui maggiori rumors provenienti soltanto dalle fonti più attendibili. L’auto-focus ed il magnetometro, tra l’altro, sono due funzioni annunciate da tantissimo tempo all’interno dei rumors e quindi non risulta tanto difficile credere a queste due immagini. Sulla faccenda del prototipo potrebbero esserci dei dubbi, ma tra 8 giorni finalmente scopriremo tutto.
IFDark No Logo is an iNav inspired theme, actually it is basically like a skin to the original iNav theme. It is definitely one of the easier iNav themes to set up. To do so, you will want to have all your application in an Apps and Games folder except the following; Phone, SMS, Email, Safari, iPod, Camera, Photo, Games and Apps.
You will want one icon on each page of your SpringBoard (in the same order they are listed in above). The icons need to be in the third row, the third icon in (see screenshots below). Once you have all nine icons arranged correctly, you can go into WinterBoard and activate the theme.
The theme contains a wallpaper, lockscreen background/battery, dialer, loading screen, SMS theme, 36 icons, status bar…etc. This particular theme is not supposed to have the Arsenal logo on the wallpaper (hence the “No Logo” in the title) but, the developer must have packaged it incorrectly. I also noticed that some of the icons are a little off center and some of the arrows don’t match up exactly perfectly but, not a huge deal.

It seems that BigBoss has been working hard because today we get another update to SBSettings. This update adds a few new features, some tweaks and some bug fixes. A few of the new features include the ability to change the date separator to either / or . and the ability to change the time to a 24 hour time. I also like that a little hand icon was added to the toggles in which you can hold down to activate the hold feature (though, the actual hold feature is not available on 2.x firmware). I don’t consider this a security issue since you have to actually enable the feature. In either case, I patched the respring bypass to allow my email inbox to quiet down.

Tra gli slogan proposti, verrà effettuata una selezione tramite votazione nel forum di TouchArcade. Qui sarà scelto il vincitore che entrerà a far parte del gioco a partire dal primo update.
