Dataviz ha finalmente rilasciato Documents To Go in AppStore, un’applicazione che permette di visualizzare e di modificare i file di Office. Al momento ci sono molte limitazioni in quanto è possibile modificare soltanto i documenti di Microsoft Word, ma presto verranno rilasciati nuovi aggiornamenti gratuiti che aggiungeranno il supporto ad Excel, Access e PowerPoint.
L’applicazione viene offerta in due varianti: Documents To Go (Microsoft Word editing & desktop sync) ad un prezzo di 3,99€ oppure Documents To Go with Exchange Attrachments (Microsoft Word editing & desktop sync) al costo di 7,99€ [Link iTunes].
Come vi avevamo anticipato, DataViz ha mantenuto la promessa ed il prezzo dell’applicazione è assolutamente diverso da quello che immaginavamo. Tra le varie funzioni abbiamo la possibilità di utilizzare il copia/incolla, lo zoom, cambiare i caratteri, la formattazione del testo e tanto tanto altro. E’ utile per tutti coloro che hanno bisogno di modificare i documenti al volo e di inviarli tramite email, il prezzo di lancio è destinato ad aumentare tra circa 2 settimane, per cui approfittatene adesso.
In quest’ultimo periodo gli sviluppatori stanno aggiornando le proprie applicazioni dell’AppStore aggiungendo la compatibilità con il Firmware 3.0. Trovandoci ormai a soli due giorni dal rilascio, tali aggiornamenti si stanno intensificando e spesso riceviamo segnalazioni via email nelle quali ci chiedete una recensione con tanto di changelog e lista delle novità.
In realtà con questo intervento intendiamo anche rispondere a tanti utenti, dicendovi che solitamente quando non trovate un articolo dedicato, significa che è stata soltanto aggiunta questa compatibilità con la nuova versione del sistema operativo oppure sono stati risolti dei piccoli bug. Come potete vedere dall’immagine in alto, sia iTunes che l’applicazione Mobile dell’AppStore mostrano la scritta “iPhone OS 3.0 - testato” per tutte le applicazioni rese compatibili.
Ormai mancano soltanto “poche ore” al rilascio del nuovo OS ed anche il Jailbreak non dovrebbe farsi attendere. Stay Tuned!

"Reflections and glare on high gloss monitor screens and their relation to the angle of the monitor screen, could cause the operator to adopt awkward postures when viewing the monitor screen and using related equipment. These reflections on the screen can be from internal and external sources such as the overhead lighting and/or position of windows.
Awkward postures adopted by the operator may in turn lead to an injury."
Of course Apple has moved to high gloss screens on every laptop except the 17" MacBook Pro, and the matte screen option on that laptop costs an extra fifty bucks. The iMacs are also only available with glossy screens.
Of course there are other health hazards associated with having Apple equipment, such as a tendency to have panic attacks or heart palpitations when you learn you can't update your iPhone cheaply through AT&T. At any rate, there is one advantage to those glossy screens. You'll be able to clearly see your pained face as you try to stretch into position to avoid those reflections on those mirror-like screens. So there.

Atoms è un simpatico gioco in cui verrà testata la nostra abilità nello schivare ostacoli. Con il dito potremo spostare sull’area di gioco un cerchio luminoso cercando di evitare la collisione con i cerchi rossi che, aumentando di numero, renderanno sempre più difficili i nostri movimenti. Con il passare del tempo i cerchi rossi cambieranno colore e, in questo caso, sarà possibile colpirli creando un’onda d’urto che distruggerà gli altri cerchi nelle vicinanze, aumentando così il nostro punteggio.
Il gioco in se non presenta una particolare longevità poiché non dispone di diverse modalità di gioco. C’è una classifica online dove, previa registrazione, potrete confrontarvi con altri giocatori cercando di raggiungere la vetta della classifica e condividere il vostro punteggio su Facebook.
Tramite questa schermata possiamo inoltre:
Vedere i punteggi dei giocatori più vicino a noi ” Nearby“;
Se avete degli amici iscritti su Agon o Facebook potrete condividere il vostro punteggio visibile in “Friends“;
“Personal” invece presenta la lista di tutti i vostri punteggi;
Accedere al vostro profilo in “Profile“.
Per aggiungere un pizzico di difficoltà in più, c’è la sezione Awards che presenta delle ricompense da sbloccare al raggiungimento di determinate combinazioni di gioco.

Currently the card is listed as shipping in 1-2 weeks and is not currently available as a build-top-order option on new Mac Pro models.
iMemory Game è un nuovo giochino disponibile su Cydia che ripropone sull’iPhone e sull’iPod Touch il più famoso Memory con veste grafica rinnovata. In questa versione del gioco, infatti, dovremo cercare di trovare coppie di emoticon che presentano la stessa espressione.
Il gioco è a pagamento: la versione completa costa $1.99 e offre 10 livelli di gioco organizzati in base alla difficoltà; la versione trial, invece, dispone di un solo livello. Accendendo alle impostazioni del gioco sarà possibile:
Iniziare una nuova partita;
cominciare un livello;
caricare un livello;
attivare/disabilitare l’audio.
Una barra presente nella parte bassa dello schermo vi informerà circa gli errori commessi durante il gioco e del tempo impiegato per completare la partita. Cliccando, invece, sulla “i” posta in alto a destra, aprirete un popup nel quale potrete leggere informazioni relative all’applicazione.
