AT&T has put together a guide on how to obtain an iPhone 3GS tomorrow. The iPhone 3GS will be available at over 2,200 AT&T locations on launch day as well as the 211 Apple Retail Stores in the USA.
All AT&T stores will open at 7 a.m. local time to serve pre-order customers but be sure to check your confirmation email as some units are not due to arrive until after June 19. Anyone who hasn’t pre-ordered can turn up during normal business hours and will be served on a “first come, first served” basis.
Customers new to AT&T who wish to transfer their current number to AT&T should bring a copy of a bill from their current carrier. Customers will be asked to provide account information as it appears on record with their current provider, including:
- Account number
- Name of the account holder
- Account holder’s Social Security Number or Tax ID
- Billing address
- PIN or password (if applicable)
AT&T will initially only sell one iPhone 3GS to every new customer.

Despite all of the hoopla the last few days about TweetDeck becoming available for iPhone, I decided to stick with a tried and true friend -- Twittelator Pro. My loyalty was rewarded with a new version of the iPhone Twitter client that takes advantage of many of the features of iPhone OS 3.0.Twittelator Pro 3.0 [App Store] is priced at US$4.99 for new users, and the upgrade is free for owners of previous versions. The app is from Andrew Stone's BigStonePhone, and builds upon capabilities of the new iPhone OS. Along with the existing features such as offline tweeting, a built-in browser, and being able to handle multiple Twitter accounts, Twittelator Pro 3.0 now adds the following goodies to 3.0 iPhones:
- Record, edit, and tweet video with the 3G S
- Record and tweet audio
- Copy, paste, select, select all, and undo text (shake to undo)
- Paste photos into tweets
- Compose and send email from within the app
- Get a zoomable map of a tweeter's location
Be sure to check out the gallery below for a plethora of pithy pictures of this great app.

It seems that most Apple and AT&T stores will be opening early tomorrow morning for the launch of the iPhone 3G S. Our local AT&T store will be opening at 7:00am (normally they open at 10:00am) for pre-order customers and once they are done with the pre-order customers, they will open the doors to everyone else.
Our Apple store is implementing a different strategy. They are going to be opening at 7:00am (normally open at 10:00am) to everyone however, they will have two lines; one for pre-order customers and one for those who have not pre-ordered.
If the release of the iPhone 3G S is anything like the release of the iPhone 3G, there will be a line. Never fear, if you are in Apple’s line, they will most likely treat you to some muffins/danishes and water (at least they have for past iPhone releases).
Will you be standing in line at your local AT&T or Apple store tomorrow morning? Maybe you are even going tonight! Or, maybe, you are waiting for all the fuss to die down and hoping they still have some in stock! Let us know in the comments!
Remember: If you pre-ordered your iPhone 3G S from AT&T’s website between June 8th and the 13th, it should arrive tomorrow. If you ordered it after 13th, you will need to add an additional week or so. See THIS video for more info.

On observe qu'il y a beaucoup moins de personnes que pour la sortie de l'iPhone 3G.
D'après les réactions sur nos forums, il n'y a personne à Lyon Cordelier
