Google sta per lanciare un servizio di inserzioni AdSense specificatamente studiate per essere collocate in applicazioni per iPhone. Da questa pagina è già possibile raccogliere tutte le informazioni necessarie per diventare beta tester di Google AdSense for Mobile.
Il funzionamento è molto simile a quello delle inserzioni AdSense per browser mobili. Già alcuni sviluppatori di confermato successo (e dal numero di dowload ad almeno 6 zeri) hanno cominciato a testare le caratteristiche e le revenue di questa piattaforma, fra cui Shazam, UrbanSpoon e Sega.
Proprio Howard Steinberg, dirigente di UrbanSpoon si è mostrato disponibile a comparire in questo breve video dimostrativo delle caratteristiche del servizio, girato per Google.
Altri aggiornamenti di compatibilità su Cydia. Oggi tocca alla mod WheaterIcon, la quale fa apparire le condizioni metereologiche relative alla nostra città nell’icona dell’applicazione nativa Meteo.
La nuova versione 2.1.3 aggiunge il supporto al firmware 3.o per quanto riguarda il cambiamento dell’icona, mentre continua a non funzionare per quanto riguarda la mod relativa alla status bar.
Dopo l’installazione può capitare che l’iPhone entri in Safe Mode: per risolvere basta effettuare un respring/reboot.

Granet, gli sviluppatori di FindIt, hanno appena terminatoOcto’s Tale 2, il nuovo episodio di un piccolo e divertente passatempo di cui possiamo già fornirvi un’anteprima precedente al lancio in AppStore. Il gioco ha una grafica molto carica e 4 modalità di gioco: “Save The Ship”, “Ufo Strike”, “Survival” e “2 Players”. Vediamo i dettagli:
In Save The Ship dovremo appunto salvare la nostra nave evitando di essere colpiti dagli oggetti rilasciati dagli Ufo. Ci troveremo a muovere un polpo pirata e a sparare con un cannone tramite il Touchscreen. A volte vedremo cadere delle lettere e dovremo prenderle per attivare degli effetti speciali. Ogni quadro avrà le sue particolarità e potremo sfruttare anche le pareti mobili per dei rimbalzi o dei colpi ad effetto. Ogni volta che superiamo un livello la difficoltà cresce sempre di più.
In “Ufo Strike” il nostro compito sarà quello di attaccare gli ufo, lanciado delle palle di cannone dirette alla base degli stessi mentre in “Survival” dovremo riuscire a stare sulla nave il più a lungo possibile, respingendo i continui colpi degli alieni, ed infine la modalità “2 Players” ci farà battere contro un altro giocatore.

Apple has quietly pushed out software updates for both the Apple TV and the Remote application for the iPhone and iPod touch. The update, identified as version 2.4 for the Apple TV, and version 1.3 (24) for the Remote app, adds gesture support for controlling Apple TV from your iPhone or iPod.
Our in-house Apple TV geeks, Megan Lavey and Christina Warren, both installed the updates and gave them a try. Megan indicated the gestures were quick and responsive, and coupled with the ability to use the iPhone/iPod keyboard to search for shows, the new versions made it much less tedious to navigate through your shows.
Boxee users may wish to hold off on updating, however, as it seems that you may not be able to reinstall Boxee after completing the update. Also worth noting is that the new Remote app requires the 3.0 software update to be installed on your iPhone or iPod touch.
