Semplice da immaginare ma giusto segnalare: WiSDK, il fantomatico programmino Windows per creare applicazioni iPhone era soltanto l’ennesimo Fake.

Gli artefici di tutto questo hanno ottenuto 381.511 email in 5 giorni (52 email al minuto), con lo scopo di “dire” ad Apple che tantissime persone sarebbero interessante in uno sviluppo ufficiale di questi Tools. Tuttavia resta improbabile il fatto che Apple decida di realizzare il porting del suo SDK per l’ambiente Windows, per cui possiamo definitivamente dire che nè WiSDK nè qualsiasi altro Software development Kit potrà essere utilizzato in ambiente Windows, per la realizzazione delle applicazioni AppStore.

Il sito è attualmente in vendita, ed è arrivato ad un valore stimato di 32.000$ (ma dubito che qualcuno si decida ad acquistarlo).

Each day the TUAW crew awakes from our hyperbaric chambers, slides down the firepole in our historic 2-story firehouse and gathers around the Surface table to discuss what we're going to write about. Oh wait, that's in an alternate universe I just made up. In reality, the TUAW team is a diverse group of freelancers based all over the world, working from their home offices to find Apple stories for you.

There's no office except our chat room, no break room except our Twitter feeds and no daily editorial bull session with the team. It doesn't work like that. Instead, we all wake up at different times, read different sources, write different stuff and share different opinions. Everyone has a "day job" of some nature outside of TUAW, be it cubicle farmer or freelance pixel pusher. I'm pretty thrilled we've been able to do this for over four years now and our independence and focus hasn't changed.

Gli utenti Windows non apprezzeranno questa notizia, ma il progetto WiSDK, che avrebbe dovuto consentire di sviluppare applicazioni per iPhone anche sui sistemi operativi Microsoft, è un fake.

A rivelarlo sono stati gli stessi ideatori del “progetto” che qualche minuto fa hanno inviato una mail a tutti gli utenti che si erano registrati alla mailing list ufficiale ed hanno aggiornato il sito.

Nel testo viene ammesso che wiSDK era solo un fake e che in soli 5 giorni hanno ricevuto ben 381.511 email (circa 52 email al minuto!) inerenti tale progetto e contato 384 articoli pubblicati dai vari blog specializzati, tra cui, creduloni, il nostro!

Lo scherzo è stato ideato per far rendere conto ad Apple di quanta gente sia interessata a sviluppare anche su Windows e per far capire il potenziale di sviluppatori che potrebbero arrivare da una simile apertura.

Il sito del progetto è ora in vendita ad un prezzo che si aggira intorno ai 32.000 $.
