SDM SBSettings è un toggle per SBSettings che consente di attivare/disattivare le funzioni del programma Safari Download Manager recensito qui, e che consente di scaricare file direttamente da Safari.
Il toggle è disponibile gratuitamente su Cydia e non necessita di alcun respring per funzionare.

iTunes 9 in Arrivo? Ecco tutte le caratteristiche

Secondo gli ultimi rumors provenienti da AppleInsider e TheBoyGenius, è in arrivo la versione 9 di iTunes che porterà molte belle caratteristiche oltre alla possibilità di gestire le icone delel applicaizoni iPhone.
Si parte con il supporto al Blu-ray, una funzione che dovrebbe comparire nella nuova e misteriosa linea di iMac di cui si sta tanto parlando in questi giorni. Si prosegue poi con la possibilità di gestire e ri-organizzare le icone della springboard del proprio iPhone/iPod Touch. Potremo riposizionarle a piacimento e tramite una sincronizzazione verranno trasmesse le modifiche anche sul terminale. Infine, probabilmente, verrà aggiunta l’integrazione ai social network più famosi (Facebook, Twitter, Last.fm), che ci permetterà di condividere i titoli delle nostre playlist o dei brani che amiamo di più
Per il rilascio probabilmente dovremo attendere l’arrivo di settembre, proprio come successe l’anno scorso durante l’evento “Let’s Rock” dedicato agli iPod. Staremo a vedere!

Apple trasmetterà il primo concerto in Live Streaming su iPhone

Questa notte Apple trasmetterà in Live il concerto della band elettronica Underworld. La casa di Cupertino ha cercato di non pubblicizzare troppo la notizia per non sovraccaricare le reti mobili AT&T.
Il concerto inizierà alle 09:00 PT, che dovrebbero corrispondere alle 6:00 di questa notta (orario italiano). Per seguirlo si potrà utilizzare la funzione di streaming video su protocollo HTTP introdotta con il Firmware 3.0. Tramite questo sistema, infatti, la banda che avremo a disposizione andrà a determinare la grandezza e la qualità dell’immagine, per garantire sempre una visione fluida e senza interruzioni.

Push Notification SBSettings (Cydia): disattiva le notifiche push

Push NotificationSBSettings è un nuovo tweak in grado di disattivare in un click le notifiche push.
Come sappiamo sempre più applicazioni fanno uso delle notifiche push per notificare all’utente alcuni messaggi (IM, news, ecc…), ma questa opzione, se attiva, influisce negativamente e sensibilmente sulla durata della batteria.
Grazie a questo toggle gratuito (repo Bigboss), ora possiamo disattivarle con un click tramite SBSettings, senza la necessità di dover accedere alle impostazioni.
Purtroppo il toggle non sempre funziona, e a volte è necessario effettuare un respring perchè le modifiche abbiano effetto.

Analyst Predicts Tablet Sales, Provides Mockup

In a research note this week Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster chimed in on the Apple tablet rumours, offering sales predictions for the device and a mockup of what he believes the device will look like.
Munster predicts that Apple’s tablet will launch in early 2010 and sell roughly 2 million units in the first year. The analyst estimates that the tablet will cost $600 giving Apple an additional $1.2 billion in revenue, a 3-percent revenue rise for the company.
Image courtesy of Piper JaffrayMunster sees the device as sitting between the iPod touch and low-end MacBook priced between $500 and $700 with the capability of running “most” of the 70,000 apps available on the iPhone App Store. The tablet will be marketed as being used for web surfing, email, and digital media.
Munster also adds some credence to rumours that the device would be tethered to a carrier such as AT&T or Verizon and will have a 3G modem built in.
