Voilà une bonne nouvelle, tout d'abord parce que elle ravira les (anciens) possesseurs d'un des premiers ordinateurs personnels, à savoir l'excellent Commodore 64 , ensuite parce que cela montre qu'Apple fait évoluer les critères utilisés pour accepter les applications sur l'AppStore..

En effet , on avait mentionné l'impossibilité pour l'auteur de cet émulateur de faire approuver son logiciel, bien que ce dernier utilise une license et des Roms officielles de Commodore.

Par contre, tout n'est pas parfait puisque le Basic, language de programmation du Commodore (If ...then, Goto )n'est pas opérationnel, et seules les ROMs incluses peuvent être utilisées (Dragons Den, Le Mans, Jupiter Lander, Arctic Shipwreck and Jack Attack) , impossible d'utiliser des ROMs trouvées sur Internet, mais il devrait être possible d'en acheter des supplémentaires.

Le logiciel "C64" est proposé ici sur l'AppStore au prix de 3,99 euros, les Romspour l'"in-game purchase" ne sont apparemment pas encore validées par Apple.

In una giornata totalmente esente da notizie vi segnaliamo il titolo del prossimo episodio di Pocket God che lascia intendere la nuova feature che verrà aggiunta.

Si chiamerà Pocket God: Dead Pygmy Walking e quindi dopo aver ucciso un omino avremo modo di richiamare il suo fantasma, che apparirà sull’isola e spaventerà i nuovi pigmei. Si preannuncia come un bell’upadate ricco di animazioni e non appena verrà rilasciato ve lo faremo sapere.

Si intitolerà “Dead Pygmy Walking” il prossimo episodio di Pocket God, lo ha rivelato lo sviluppatore tramite Twitter.

Per chi non conoscesse questo ormai stranoto mini-game per iPhone, si tratta di un gioco in cui bisogna vestire i panni di un Dio, il quale dovrà manifestare la propria benevolenza/malevolenza verso dei piccoli pigmei, abitanti di un isolotto. Il gioco è diventato molto popolare grazie a numerosi update, i quali hanno aggiunto sempre nuove caratteristiche al gioco.

Appena uscirà il nuovo episodio, ve lo notificheremo al più presto.

Gravity Applications recently updated their Reminder widget, and I'm finding it quite useful. Now that my Dashboard isn't taking eons to load -- thanks to Snow Leopard -- it's really nice to be able to pop it up and with a few clicks set an iCal alarm for 5 minutes, an hour, a week, whatever I need a quick beep for that doesn't require a full event edit. It's simple, single-purpose and very effective.

You may know Gravity Apps from past coverage on TUAW, or for some of their innovative software projects such as Tags, Searchlight and SofaControl. These guys have been doing a great job providing software tools to meet a wide range of needs, and have proven to be eager and determined developers. The polish they push for on every application apparently shows up in their Dashboard widgets as well.
