Navigando su YouTube ho trovato una splendida video comparazione tra lo Zune HD e l’iPhone 3GS, realizzata da Domenico Panacea per Macitynet. Ecco il filmato:

In particolare vengono comparati i due display (uno OLED ed uno LCF TFT) sia all’interno che all’esterno, i tempi di caricamento delle pagine web e anche l’apertura delle applicazioni più banali come ad esempio la calcolatrice. Lo Zune ha uno splendido video Out e anche questo viene mostrato nel video. Buona visione

PS. Gradirei non dover leggere sempre gli stessi commenti polemici. Il video è stato realizzato come semplice comparazione tra le caratteristiche comuni ad entrambi i dispositivo e non per mettere in mostra la superiorità dell’iPhone. La luminosità degli schermi era impostata al massimo su entrambi ed i tempi impiegati per aprire la calcolatrice sono oggettivi e non truccati (non avrebbe davvero senso fare e pubblicare una cosa del genere). Tutti noi amiamo sicuramente il nostro iPhone ma lo Zune HD è comunque un buon lettore multimediale.

It looks like another day with another update from Apple. This time, iMovie has been updated to version 8.0.5. This updates fixes some minor issues, as well as improve compatibility with the 5th generation iPod nano and some camcorders

These fixes include:

• Improved compatibility with camcorders using the iFrame video format

• Improved compatibility with importing video captured on the iPod nano

• Fixed problems with resizing the iMovie window during playback

This update available and recommended for all users of iMovie '09, it's around 36MB, and it's available through Software Update or the Apple Support Downloads page.

Sonos has announced a portable wireless music system that uses an iPhone or iPod touch for a controller. The Zone Player S5 is a one piece, 5 speaker music player that can access your iTunes library or any internet radio station, as well as Napster, Rhapsody, Pandora, last.fm or Sirius if you have the required subscriptions.

The physical unit has only volume controls and a mute button. Like other Sonos products, the S5 needs a wired router connection or a Zone Bridge unit, which is a U.S. $99.00 box that plugs into your router and then allows the S5 to be wireless anywhere in the house. You can add additional S5 units that only need AC power to work.

The S5 looks a bit like the Bose audio systems that dock with the iPhone. The difference with the Sonos unit is you keep the iPhone with you, and the S5 gets your music from iTunes.

The S5 will be available later this month for $399.00. If you already have a Sonos system in your home or office, or are just getting started with multi-room music, this system is worth checking out.

Of course Apple also provides solutions to stream iTunes with the Airport Express Air Tunes hardware/software. Apple also offers Remote, [iTunes link] a free app to control Airport Express or an Apple TV from your iPhone and iPod touch. Logitech also offers the Squeezebox family of wireless music products, and there are other good solutions as well.

Choice. It's a good thing.

Mattia Brigatti è un utente di iSpazio che ha già avuto modo di provare SmartScreen, un’applicazione ancora in fase di sviluppo, che verrà poi rilasciata in Cydia Store. Lo scopo è quello di trasformare la lockscreen in una bacheca pronta ad accogliere Widget di tutti i tipi. Potremo far vibrare i widget e spostarli lungo lo schermo.

Al momento ci sono soltanto 2 gadget da poter utizzare ma in seguito verranno aggiunti anche un calendario, il meteo e tanto altro. Gli sviluppatori di SmartScreen rilasceranno anche un SDK che permetterà di creare nuovi widget per quest’applicazione. E’ cosi che il DevTeam ha realizzato il proprio e sarà quindi possibile leggere le loro notizie in tempo reale tramite la lockscreen.
