Comuni d’Italia è la nuova applicazione iPhone contenente le informazioni base su tutti i comuni presenti nel territorio italiano.

Queste le caratteristiche principali:

• Catalogo di tutti gli 8094 comuni italiani, aggiornato al febbraio 2010.
• Per ogni comune contiene dati amministrativi (CAP; prefisso, codice catasto, codice ISTAT), geografici, demografici e riferimenti vari (recapiti del comune, festa patronale, collegamenti ai siti web ufficiali e non, e altro ancora).
• Mappa dei confini del comune sovrapposta alla mappa google (solo se disponibile una connessione internet).
• Integrazione con il localizzatore GPS.
• Lista alfabetica, lista per regioni e province, per sigla provincia; lista dei primi e ultimi 100 comuni per popolazione, superficie, densità, altitudine ecc.
• Lista dei comuni che festeggiano il patrono nella data attuale e nei giorni successivi. Possibilità di salvare un comune nei Preferiti.

Insomma, un vero e proprio compendio dei comuni italiani.

LuckyLotto, l’applicazione che permette di eseguire un’estrazione casuale delle principali lotterie nazionali e di WinForLife, è stata da poco aggiornata alla versione 3.0.0 cambiando completamente veste grafica e introducendo tante novità.

Inoltre lo sviluppatore ci ha comunicato che nella prossima versione verrà introdotto il salvataggio delle giocate di Win For Life e il relativo controllo delle vincite.

LuckyLotto è compatibile con iPhone ed iPod Touch, richiede il firmware 3.0 o successivo ed è localizzata in Italiano.

Siri for the iPhone was quite a hit when it came out earlier this year. You could ask it questions like, "where is the best pizza nearby?" and Siri would find the answer. My favorite response was when I asked if there was a God, and Siri gave me directions to the nearest churches.

As much as people loved the app, iPod touch owners were left out in the cold. Not now. The app has been updated to run on the iPod touch with OS version 3.0 or above. And if you've already been using it, the app has been improved with more data, a larger vocabulary and some improvements to its reasoning algorithms.

You can also give it integer math problems and you'll get an answer. The app uses Microsoft Instant Answers from Bing for the heavy lifting.

Siri uses the speech recognition from Nuance Communications, which also powers the Dragon Dictatation and Dragon Search apps for the iPhone and iPod touch. It is uncannily accurate in my daily use, so Siri has gotten a bit smarter and learned a few new tricks. For free, it's a must have.

With all of the furor around the gigantic patent lawsuit that Apple dropped on HTC this week, you might be forgiven for forgetting about the first big patent smackdown of the year, the lawsuit that Nokia laid at Apple's door. But a judge in Delaware hasn't -- he ordered a suspension to both the case and its countersuit while the International Trade Commission works out the complaints between the two companies.

Clearly Nokia and Apple have it out for one another, but apparently they're going to take it one step at a time. Once the ITC has completed its probe, which was scheduled to take 45 days after it agreed to perform the investigation on February 22nd, then the lawsuit will presumably move forward. That's if it's still on and not settled by then, although Nokia seems in it to win it, and Apple apparently has enough bandwidth (and legal fees) to pick two fights at once anyway. So bring it, ITC, and then let's get this show on the road.

Il prossimo Iron Fist Tournament potrebbe disputarsi anche su iPhone. Siamo vicini al rilascio della prima versione di Tekken per iPhone?

Una fonte vicina a Namco avrebbe confessato, chiedendo di rimanere sotto anonimato, che il gioco è in avanzato stato di sviluppo e sembra che il team sia intenzionato a non deludere le aspettative dei numerosi fans della serie.

Non è ancora chiaro però se questa versione per iPhone sia stata sviluppata da zero o se si tratterà di un porting di Tekken 6 sviluppato per PSP. Quest’ultima ipotesi, tuttavia, sembra la più probabile. Non si hanno ancora conferme sulla modalità multiplayer che dovrebbe essere comunque presente permettendo partite sia in locale che .

Inoltre, Capcom, acerrima rivale di NAMCO, ha da poco annunciato Street Fighter IV per iPhone e, proprio per questo, sembra che il lancio di Tekken non possa essere molto lontano.

Entrambi i giochi dovrebbero essere presentati alla Game Developers Conference.
