A small post in Barron's noted today that TiVo shares have jumped up about 5% today on rumors that the company's DVR technology may be included in the next iteration of the Apple TV.

TiVo's Premiere device has greater functionality than the Apple TV, with the ability to record up to 150 hours of HD video (with the Premiere XL), on-demand video streaming from Netflix, Amazon Video, and YouTube, viewing of photo libraries on TV, and a choice of music and photo streaming services.

There has been a lot of speculation as of late that Apple may be poised to make the Apple TV more than just a hobby. With Google TV just around the corner and Google making deals with Sony, Logitech, Intel, and the Dish Network, Apple may be looking for partners to help jump-start a revival in the neglected Apple TV.

iPhoDroid, il software grazie al quale è possibile installare Android su iPhone 3G, verrà presto aggiornato. La nuova versione R13 1Shot sarà disponibile infatti a partire dalla prossima settimana.

Grazie a questo update l’installazione risulterà ancora più semplice ed immediata in modo tale da risparmiare tempo e risorse. Come è possibile vedere dallo screenshot che segue, tra le varie novità, ci sarà la possibilità di disinstallare il tutto direttamente dal proprio dispositivo.

Anche quest’anno i prezzi più vantaggiosi per l’acquisto di un iPhone 4, in Europa, sono quelli svizzeri. Abbiamo visto che in Italia il terminale costerà 659 e 779€ ma la convenienza della Svizzera è veramente palese.

• L’iPhone 4 da 16GB costerà 769CHF che corrispondono a 565€
• L’iPhone 4 da 32GB costerà 899CHF che corrispondono a 660€

Una differenza di circa 100€ sul primo modello e di 120€ sul modello con maggiore memoria. Il prezzo di questi terminali è stato comunicato ufficialmente da Apple proprio qualche ora fa ed è senza alcun tipo di abbonamento.

Un Rumor invece proviene dal Canada e riguarda il prezzo degli iPhone sbloccati (Factory Unlocked), ovvero quelli che possono essere utilizzati con qualsiasi SIM.

Secondo CBC, un iPhone sbloccato potrà essere acquistato esclusivamente in un Apple Store fisico e costerà 659 dollari canadesi per il modello da 16GB e 779$ per il modello da 32GB. Anche l’iPhone 3GS da 8GB verrà venduto sbloccato e senza contratto a 549$.

In pratica in Canada ritroveremo i prezzi italiani ma con un’importantissima differenza di valuta. Il dollaro locale è più basso di quello americano per cui i 659$ corrispondono a 492€ e i 779$ corrispondono a soli 581€. Prezzi veramente incredibilmente e convenienti!

In fotografia sottoesposta è l’immagine che troppo poco tempo è stata sotto la luce del sole. Ma per traslato là dove c’è poca luce, c’è anche poca visibilità, poca conoscenza. Che genera ignoranza, la vera anticamera della discriminazione. Ecco il significato di questo bellissimo video in cui, al susseguirsi di spettacolari acrobazie di parkouristi su tetti, scale e muretti, si contrappone la staticità di una ruota di una carrozzina, bloccata da una barriera architettonica, perché “a volte anche un gradino sembra un grattacielo”.

Sottoesposto, un intelligente video di denuncia, capace di far riflettere e sensibilizzare: un impegno da diffondere anche fra il popolo della rete, perché le barriere vengano abbattute una volta per tutte.

Yes, you're getting a bumper for free, but why not wrap your iPhone 4 in something a little more stylish and original? Vaja has released a line of its great premium leather gadget cases for the iPhone 4 -- I love these things, as they're made out of high-quality premium leather, and add an extra little bit of class to a device that already feels like a luxury phone.

I do have to say that I don't really like that flap -- I use a Vaja case on my iPod, and in that case, the magnetically-fastened flap comes in handy, since I don't usually have my iPod open. But on the iPhone, I interact with the touchscreen so much that the flap would get in the way. But Vaja also has some excellent cases (like the iVolution Grip) that just slide onto the iPhone and stay out of your way.

They're not cheap -- the Grip runs $65, and they go up from there. But they are a quality product. While the bumper cases are all right, if you want something really nice to wrap your iPhone in, give Vaja's cases a look.
